Zenbo available to buy in the US! Expensive, but this is a rare chance to get one!

[Updated Sept 4, 2020 with new purchase opportunities]

This may come as a shocker to a great number of you out there. We’ve been getting a steady stream of email and messages asking the same thing. Where can I buy Zenbo? Well today, we actually have an answer! If you can handle the price, you will need to act quickly. This is an incredibly rare opportunity.

Before you get too excited, you must realize this isn’t an official product release into the US market. This Zenbo won’t connect with services in the US. More than that though, how much are you willing to spend? The price is bloated, no question about that. There is currently one available to buy. Given the pent up demand and enthusiasm for Zenbo, it’s likely that a few people out there are willing to pay the asking price. There just aren’t many opportunities to buy Zenbo and the asking price reflects that fact.

If you do buy this Zenbo, be assured you will be one of the only people in North America to own one. This is the first time we’ve seen one for sale in the US market and hopefully this is a start. We hear a lot of frustration from people because Zenbo hasn’t been made available and that is completely understandable. We launched this site a long time ago with a lot of hope and excitement but the launch or lack of a launch has tested our patience.

Very frustrating to see that it is for sale at a crazy marked up price after waiting for so long very disappointed in ASUS after advertising it for $599

Thanks for your comment. ASUS has a tendency to over sell their products. Great and interesting products, but getting to market is sometimes their biggest hurdle. At this price, no doubt only a select few will even consider it. We must make mention of this rare availability though!

This is ridiculous. How in the…do you go from $599.99 every where else and then to 3,000.00.Thats obsurd, pure American Greed.

Fair point. I think the “OBO” aspect is something to think about, at least for some people. I haven’t seen Zenbo on eBay at all, which likely explains the inflated price. Competition tends to keep prices in check.

We’ve been waiting for so long and yet the price is too much just for that robot? I hope they will make some consideration for all the customers who have been waiting for this long… 2,000 plus is way up high what more is the 3,000plus price… I think this is super expensive and it is not worth it.

the price on ebay is ridiculous that is almost 5 times what you said it would cost

Thanks for your comment. We are only the messenger of the news however. We are not part of ASUS. Wait for an official Zenbo release in the US for actual retail pricing. If you have the patience to wait of course!

Since this Zenbo will not connect in the US what is the rush to buy? The price is ridiculous. I’m ok if it went to $1000 but $2700 is absurd. Let me know when there is an official launch in the US, please.

Why is it impossible to release here since you already have this in Taiwan just need to have it in English version. ? I have never seen anything in my life that it takes so long to get a item in North America.

I think it’s some private person selling this on ebay he must have got this from Taiwan and brought it to USA and selling online. Which company releases a product on ebay. If I buy from Taiwan will that product work in Canada.

    Hello,

For clarification, the notice says that Zenbo can communicate in English and Mandarin Chinese. Does a purchaser have to specify which language is desired, or do all Zenbos come with both languages available? I speak both Mandarin and English and would like a bilingual Zenbo. Is this available?

    Thank you (谢谢),
    Richard

By the time it is actually released it should fly or something. The sad part is they missed their deadline by so long, that amazons Alexa will do just as much if not more than what was advertised. Still hoping they keep their word and release it at the price point of 599.00 but by then I would hope that they update it with all the current hardware and software available.

    • admin March 13, 2019 at 7:52 pm #

There certainly is a point there. I’m thinking Zenbo offers something more. At this point, it’s a realistic to question what version Alexa will be up to by the time Zenbo is released outside of Taiwan. Tech moves quickly!

What good is it if it doesn’t connect to any services? I have an Echo and a Jibo, which don’t move, but have plenty of services now!

    • admin March 13, 2019 at 7:48 pm #

Great question! I would imagine to your point, that’s why there have only been around 3 of these made available to buy in markets outside of Taiwan.

Thanks for keeping your promises ASUS, we believe in your professional way of conducting business I believe it says a lot about your company and all your products. We still expect the original price on Zenbo unless is major upgrades off course.

I was about to buy one of these units to complete my smart home. But now because of the price game, l will wait till next year whem Amazon say’s it will release it’s own home robot at a more reasonable price ta3.

I bought a Zenbo at the release in Taiwan, and took it on the plane to where I live (the battery is similar to a laptop’s). There are definitely other people who have done the same, so it is not the “only” in the country.
Too bad for the price gouging, but you can compare it to the Temi robot, its a pretty good deal.
Unfortunately Asus doesn’t seem to keep up with tech advances with Zenbo, so the features are a bit outdated.
